I wanted to tag a post "Government 2.0" and typed "go"; when there was no prompt I assumed there was no government 2.0 prompt and so tagged it govt 2.0. I later found the old tag and double tagged the post.
1) any idea why I did not get a prompt for the existing tag (or did it come up and I missed it)?
2) can I now untag the post?
3) can I delete the govt 2.0 tag since we don't need both?

1) There is no mechanism on the site to prompt for existing tags. That would be your browser's auto-complete feature which is solely based on your own previous inputs. This would be nice though!
2) You can see the list of tags for each post and remove any using the little [x]
3) Once you remove the last instance of a tag (from all postings) the tag should go away from the tags sectionI hope this helps? Tim - feel free to create spin off tasks if you think there are features / problems in here. I am closing for now - unless you do not think it is answered Paul?
