Subject:What you can do is fork my repository, then remove the weewar-spy submodule (which points to my fork of your weewar-spy repo), then add your weewar-spy repository as a submodule. After you've forked and cloned the repository, remove the .gitmodules file, then edit .git/config and remove the [submodule] section. After that, run these commands:
git submodule add <your weewar-spy url> vendor/weewar-spy
git submodule init
git submodule update
