progress / deployment
There's a deployment here that's getting to be worth seeing.
Still working on it (so it will break occasionally) in advance of 3pm meet, but it might be worth checking it out:
http://tfc.vm.bytemark.co.uk/You will need to sign up and be made an editor to be able to change content. Email me when you sign up and I'll do it. Please keep your password safe - there's no "password recovery" available (yet).
I will make whoever you like an admin as well, so they can make other users editors/admins.

catch up
Hope you are all well, I’m writing to touch base on our tree database project, as we are very keen to build on the excitement it has generated here.
Since we met in late-May Joe, Jane and I have reported back to the rest of the team here at Trees for Cities and the news of the new database was met with resounding enthusiasm. The project has been endorsed by the senior management and we are very enthusiastic about the database’s potential. The fundraising and marketing team here have met a couple of times to talk about the logistics of a possible new fundraising scheme we could launch with the use of the visual map database, and we’ve also brainstormed on how we might alongside a new marketing campaign.
As you know, we have rented a server as recommended, but we have also lined up a couple of volunteers to the first chunk of data into the database, so are ready and raring to go with that phase of the process as soon as things are up and running. Indeed - our planting season runs from October to March, so we are approaching a time when will be thinking about how to capture that information in terms of making it compatible with the new database resource.
I wonder if you guys have had any thoughts about the direction you would like to see the tree database moving in? Or indeed if you might be interested in meeting (either virtually or in person) to discuss ideas further?
Best regards
